Our group will use the Isle of Man funding (MDF) through a group called NX. The website "http://www.gov.im/dti/iomfilm/mediadevfund.xml" states:

To be considered for investment, your project should normally:

Be able to be filmed wholly or in part on the Isle of Man (at least 50% of all principal photography to take place on the Island)
Be capable of spending at least the equivalent of 20% of the below the line budget with local service providers
Be capable of being completion bonded

By meeting these criterion we can gain between 10% and 100% of our budget.
Another method of funding we would consider would be the "New Cinema Fund" through the UK film council. ("http://www.ukfilmcouncil.org.uk/newcinemafund"). By meeting aspects of the following criterion we will be able to secure funding.

What we're looking for:
Fresh, original and dynamic work in any style or genre.
Diversity and innovation.
New and cutting edge filmmaking talent.
Films from black, Asian and other minority ethnic filmmakers.
Films from across the UK.
Scripts that have been substantially developed.
Films with a secured UK theatrical or high profile digital release – or clear potential to do so.

This film follows the life of a British soldier who has returned from the war in Afghanistan due to his mental health. Witnessing his war friends blown apart has left him in a permanent state of shellshock and depression.
Finding himself in a strange hospital ward Guy finds himself to struggling to cope with the everyday life of normal people who have no first-hand experience of the war he was so casually discarded from. Full of sadness from the loss of his friends and anger about being forgotten by the country he served with his life, he is unsure how to carry on.
Through a series of analepsis, the story shows the horrors and the victories that Guy witnessed while serving his time in Afghanistan. Suffering from shellshock, Guy is forced to re-live some of the worst times he has ever been through, but now even getting through ordinary life is a struggle for him. Now he must try to forget the memories that have been brutally embedded into his mind and he must try to move on and live a normal happy life. But for someone who has seen such brutality, is this going to be possible?
