Funding

Our group will use the Isle of Man funding (MDF) through a group called NX. The website "http://www.gov.im/dti/iomfilm/mediadevfund.xml" states:

To be considered for investment, your project should normally:

Be able to be filmed wholly or in part on the Isle of Man (at least 50% of all principal photography to take place on the Island)
Be capable of spending at least the equivalent of 20% of the below the line budget with local service providers
Be capable of being completion bonded

By meeting these criterion we can gain between 10% and 100% of our budget.
Another method of funding we would consider would be the "New Cinema Fund" through the UK film council. ("http://www.ukfilmcouncil.org.uk/newcinemafund"). By meeting aspects of the following criterion we will be able to secure funding.

What we're looking for:
Fresh, original and dynamic work in any style or genre.
Diversity and innovation.
New and cutting edge filmmaking talent.
Films from black, Asian and other minority ethnic filmmakers.
Films from across the UK.
Scripts that have been substantially developed.
Films with a secured UK theatrical or high profile digital release – or clear potential to do so.
