Film synopsis

This film follows the life of a British soldier who has returned from the war in Afghanistan due to his mental health. Witnessing his war friends blown apart has left him in a permanent state of shellshock and depression.
Finding himself in a strange hospital ward Guy finds himself to struggling to cope with the everyday life of normal people who have no first-hand experience of the war he was so casually discarded from. Full of sadness from the loss of his friends and anger about being forgotten by the country he served with his life, he is unsure how to carry on.
Through a series of analepsis, the story shows the horrors and the victories that Guy witnessed while serving his time in Afghanistan. Suffering from shellshock, Guy is forced to re-live some of the worst times he has ever been through, but now even getting through ordinary life is a struggle for him. Now he must try to forget the memories that have been brutally embedded into his mind and he must try to move on and live a normal happy life. But for someone who has seen such brutality, is this going to be possible?
